Pas Passerini Morris 1275cc Mark 1 Mini Cooper S
Build Date : 29th April 1965 Dealer destination : Bristol Motor Company Ltd.
Registration date : 26th April 1966 Colour: Old English White Number of Known Owners : 5 Purchase Date : May 1995 Restoration Commenced : 2001 by Dave Gilbert Restoration continued : 2005 by Classis Connections Taunton.

Details of restoration When I purchased the car it was complete less front wings & front valance. The car had been partially stripped but more or less complete with original engine & service exchange gearbox. The car was taken to Dave Gilbert who stripped the body to its bare shell & sandblasted it ready to be restored. Due to ill health he was unable to complete the intended work. The car was then taken to Classic Connections of Taunton where Chris Boyer took on the work. All necessary panels cut out & replaced & then re-sprayed to its original colour. All mechanical components overhauled & worn parts replaced. The only modifications from original that have been carried out are genuine right hand fuel tank fitted & oil cooler fitted. When the body shell was completed in January 2006 it was taken to Steve Harris’ workshop. The engine & gearbox were taken to Steve for overhaul & rebuilding. I wanted the engine & gearbox modified so that the car was suitable for track events & today’s roads & I have left this to the benefit of Harris Motorsport.

Jim purchased his current Hillclimb car in 2004 from Alan Booth and competed at Gurston Down, 2005 season he was joined in events by his son Steve who finished 5th in class the Gurston championship & Jim finished 2nd - that was not good enough for Jim so decided to commission Harris Motorsport to build a power unit & assist with development . 2006 = 2 events & 2 wins, also current class leader & overall leader at Gurston, currently using Fuel injected 8 port 1380cc engine taken from Steve Harris 2002 car while development on my engine continues …………
